WELCOME

The Center For Credit & Consumer Research at Penn State Behrend was established in 2004. The Center For Credit & Consumer Research examines issues pertaining to consumer socialization and the credit card usage habits of consumers in the United States and international markets. We conduct empirical research related to consumer socialization and credit card usage and provide educational outreach to help consumers manage their credit card debt. Our research focuses on the ethical problems and risks associated with credit card usage among vulnerable populations in society.

The Center has now partnered with Junior Achievement of Erie County to expand our outreach programs. This partnership will allow the Center to provide today’s youth with a broader understanding of money management, and teach them essential financial skills needed to have a successful future.
