The Center for Credit and Consumer Research (CCCR) was established in 2004 as an applied research and outreach unit of The Sam and Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. The Center’s mission is to perform community outreach in Erie County schools to better educate students on financial management issues. The following are specific goals and objectives of the Center:
-Conduct free financial literacy and credit outreach to students throughout Erie County and the tri-county area. The CCCR’s programs are geared towards middle school and high school students. However, college students and adults may also benefit from our programs.
-Increase exposure to the CCCR’s three most popular outreach programs: The S 3 Live Game Show, the Driver’s Training for the Credit Card Highway program, and the S 3 Online Game Show.
-Continue research and learning specifically about financial literacy and credit.
-Maintain positive working relationships with our active partners.
